We have designed this tour with a touch of eco-tourism for those of our guests who would like to experience the country life as well as the main tourist attractions of Iran. On this tour you will visit Tehran, Shiraz, Isfahan, Yazd. Bavanat eco-tourism center is the icing on the cake where you will be hosted/catered for/shown around by a family rather than the usual hotel chains. Every member of the host family will act as your travel agent.
Day 1: Tehran
Arrival, meet and greet at the airport, transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Tehran – Shiraz
Depending on your arrival flight, the following morning we will begin a full-day tour of the capital, Tehran. Starting with a walking tour through old Tehran and visiting the old Gate of Tehran, Golestan Palaces, Imam (former Royal) Mosque and the Grand Bazaar which is a large roofed old shopping complex. We will then get more familiar with Persian Carpets at the Carpet Museum. Evening flight to Shiraz. Overnight Shiraz
Day 3: Shiraz
We will start our Shiraz tour by Karmikhani complex, the residential palace of Zand dynasty. Karim Khan Zand, the founder of Zand dynasty chose Shiraz as his capital and declared himself as “Vakil”, the lawyer of the nation, rather than king. We continue to Vakil complex, Vakil Mosque, Bazar and public bath that are remaining from his reign. We also visit the colorful Nasirolmolk mosque. . In the afternoon we will visit Eram Garden, Naranjestan Palace and the tombs of world famous poets Hafez and Saadi as well as Koran Gate, Khajoo tomb and Shah e Cheragh Shrine.
Day 4: Persepolise – Bavanat
On an excursion day, you will be visiting the most magnificent city of the ancient world, Persepolis, which is now registered as a UNESCO world heritage site. Persepolis was the ceremonial capital of the Persian Empire during Achemaenian era. The site, 125,000 sq.m. in area is composed of various reception halls and palaces, private palaces, royal treasury and fortifications, where we find the tomb of Cyrus the great and remains of Achaemenian palaces and edifices. We continue our excursion by visiting Naghsh-e-RostamLater today we will drive to the village of Bavanat, the hub of Iran’s eco-tourism where you can take stroll in the beautiful nature of Zagrous mountain range. Overnight Bavanat.
Day 5: Bavanat
Sightseeing in Bavanat village for visiting its beautiful walnut forests, Imamzadeh and Qanats that are the traditional system of Iranians for distributing water. (Visiting nomads depend on the date of your travel, i.e., you can have a memorable experience of nomad living on April and September). Overnight Bavanat.
Day 6: Yazd
Drive to Yazd in the morning, enroot you will be visiting ancient refrigerators and Abar- Kuh Cypress which the second oldest tree in the world, it is 4000 years old. Upon arrival: half day city tour of Yazd to visit Zoroastrian Towers of Silence, and the Fire Temple, Zoorkhaneh (Power house) Amir-Chakhmaq square, overnight Yazd.
Day 7&8: Isfahan
Half day city tour of Yazd, visiting Dowlat-Abad Gardens and bazaar. Overland trip to the magnificent city of Isfahan in the afternoon. Upon arrival We will then head to the banks of Zayanderud river, the soul of the city. There are several historical bridges over this river, erected during the Safavid era (17th Century). Siosepol (33-arch) and khaju bridges are the most famous ones. We enjoy visiting these two interesting bridges, drinking tea at the tea house below the bridge, walking along the river bank or paddle on a boat from one to the other
Day 9: Back to Tehran and Departure
After visiting the heart of Iranian culture, Isfahan, you are again very welcomed to the capital, Tehran, where you will have to accept the fact that the party is over and you will be heading back home with a Departure flight from Tehran International Airport late night.
